Looking for input, please

On June 14th we will be having our Pack Crossover and picnic, accompanied by a bake sale to help fund the things that we will want to do this summer. Steve and Kellen are going to make a cake (Steve is envisioning a Pinewood Derby ramp with cars on it) but I haven't decided what I'm going to contribute yet. I have wandered through the recipe blogs of Steph, Michelle, and Rachel and am thinking about Rachel's mini fruit pizzas or Michelle's german chocolate brownies. But I was really hoping that I could appeal to all of you for further ideas. Since this is going into a bake sale to raise money for the pack, the cooler it is to a bunch of 7-12 yr old boys, the better! At this point the Fun Factor rates slightly higher than the Taste Factor :) Also in the running is an idea for 'brain' cupcakes that I found on FamilyFun; so weird, but so fun! So bring on the ideas! Thanks so much for your help :)

Here's a recipe from allrecipes.com for something called Peanut Butter Haystacks. I haven't tried it, but it looks easy, cute, and tasty.

You could also make Turtle Cookies - Make up a batch of chocolate chip cookies, then when you spoon them onto the baking sheet, stick pecan halves into the sides of the cookie to make head and legs to make it look like a turtle. When they're done baking you can drizzle melted chocolate over the top in a turtle shell pattern.

Oh, and I just found another one that might be fun to try, and looks way cute! They're called Chocolate Mice:

Kids always like the dirt cups with a gummy worm or two hanging out of it. Recipe is at http://www.recipezaar.com/20808. Sounds like a fun activity!

I think pizza is a great idea, kids never turn down pizza! I was thinking of idfferent pizzas recently, and I've been meaning to try making a dessert pizza. Mini's of those on a hot summer day, yummm!

I have seen lots of bake sales with bags of sweet candy popcorn mixes or trail mixes. But I found a cute cookie in a magazine that kids will love. Turkey cookies! to make 20:
40 fudge striped cookies
1/4 cup chocolate frosting
2- 5 ounce pkgs chocolate covered cherries
20 pieces candy corn

place 1 cookie flat, solid chocolate side down. With frosting attach a chocolate-covered cherry to the top of the cookie. Attach another cookie perpendicular to the base cookie, behind the cherry like a tail. A little more frosting to stick a candy corn point down on the front of the cherry for a beak. Too cute!
