A Visitor!

I had already posted a Pic of the Day when this happened, or I definitely would have picked one of these for that, but it was great to see him in our back yard anyway! I was putting away leftovers from dinner when Kellen said there was a bird in our back yard. When I saw that it was a blue jay, I told him not to move (because when they see you moving on the other side of a sliding glass door it typically spooks them and they leave) while I carefully picked up my camera and snapped off a few shots. It's always great to see the bits of color that come with spring, including the ones that move on their own!

I love to see the bluejays playing in the trees in our backyard too. I wish our grass was as green as yours. I have more dandelions than anything else. I get to mow for the first time probably next week so I can mow down the stickers before they take over. HOORAY FOR SPRING!

We personally LOVE bluejays. There were a few that hatched in my parents backyard a couple years ago. Now they always are back every year and they let the kids play while they are down in the grass. Its really neat. The kids know not to try to get close they are wild but its interesting how they have adapted to us and vise versa.
Spring time is the best time of the year. We agree with you!!

How exciting! Those pictures were THROUGH the glass door? Excellent! I have heard birds here, but have yet to see their evidence.
