Outside!

We finally got Madison a new bike helmet (some of you will remember that I accidentally broke hers) so we got to go out for bike rides both yesterday and today. This picture is actually from this morning, because Maddi and I went to story time at the library this morning. I love living reasonably close to things...Yesterday we took a bike ride to the grocery store and stopped at the park on the way home (all we picked up was a loaf of bread and some baking powder) so that we could enjoy the sunshine for a while. It was by no means a warm day, but it was a day with some sun and very few clouds. Kellen spent some time on the monkey bars before going to ride his bike around the basketball court. There had been a younger boy beneath him who tried to make conversation, but Kellen proceeded to tell him that because he was so much younger they didn't have the same interests (the boy told Kellen he was 5). This conversation was only funny because Kellen said it in such a serious manner; someone explaining a complicated concept to someone who couldn't possibly be expected to understand :)
Madison had a great time playing all by herself, although part of the time she tried chasing Kellen (riding his bike) around the basketball court. All in all, it was a great chance to gain a little fresh air for an hour or so. We were very happy to have that nice day come our way :)
