Feeling silly...

I started a new blog a few days ago for our local cub pack and I'm trying to make it fairly secure for everyone in the pack to be able to use it. With that in mind, I was trying to figure out how it would work to moderate the comments. So I turned on the moderation on my own blog. I had forgotten I had done that and kept wondering why didn't have a single comment on anything all day. Duh! I had gone to the Dashboard looking for something else and saw that I had some un-moderated comments. Oh, yeah! So I let those get published, but I'm still wondering how I would go about removing comments if inappropriate ones show up on the pack blog. If anyone has the answer to that, I'd appreciate the insight!

I had a thought on moderating comments. If you're always going to be reading them. When you find a comment that is inappropriate or unnecessary or something, you, the blog owner or commenter, can remove the comment by clicking on the trash can just below whatever comment. That's what I did to take off the random comment in October, if you remember our discussion about it. That's the only thing I can think of, though. Good luck!

I definitely remember that... Well, I sort of stumbled on part of that this morning. I realized that, as author, I could delete others' comments. So, if I make a comment on someone else's blog I can remove my own comment? And if I make other people authors on that blog can they remove any comments that they want? I'm not sure that I want all the authors to be able to do that, because they might remove pertinent information... Maybe I'll make my other google account an author for the purpose of experimenting and see what I can and can't do...
