Well, I have tried out our local Freecycle (noted on Rachel's blog) and have decided I really like it. Steve is highly skeptical of the safety factor, but I finally managed to get rid of all the baby stuff (crib, mattress, and the like) sitting in my garage to someone who really needed it. Steve wanted me to put it on craigslist so that we could get a little money for it, but when I had posted it two months ago, nobody took it. In the meantime, it was taking up a lot of space in the garage. Besides, the person who picked it up saw my quilt in the living room and said she has a bunch of fabric she bought that she has decided she's never going to use; do I want it? So now her mom is going to drop off some fabric to me this afternoon on her way home from work. I also posted a wanted: toaster on the board and got an answer back. Someone who is having a new home constructed bought themselves a new toaster for their new house and is willing to give me their older but still functioning one. Sounds great to me! That just saved me $15-20.
This morning, Madison and I went into town to do some shopping. For Christmas Steve gave me a gift certificate to Victoria's Secret so I could update my bras (it's been a few years...) and I have decided there is nothing like a store full of tiny outfits you can't wear at prices you can't afford for poking holes in your self-image. Oh, well. Then I still had a little bit of other Christmas money left so I went into The Body Shop and bought a floral body spray and a booklet on sensual massage. Hmmm....
Then Maddi and I came back home for a lunch of pb&j with a side of raisins and cheddar cheese pieces. Unfortunately, she fell asleep on the way home (20 min) and isn't likely to take another nap today. You can't have everything, I guess. At least Steve doesn't have meetings tonight so he should actually be home for dinner, instead of at 9pm. Yeah! And we're doing lasagna-style enchiladas for dinner tonight; you can check out our Favorite Foods blog for the recipe! I'm going to pick up some cocoa powder so that I can make the chocolate cake from Rachel's recipe blog for dessert tonight, too.

You keep on talking about doing Rachel's dessert...now you've got me fixated on it too. We're having it on Sunday, since we have the family assignment of dessert at the big family dinner. I know what you mean about the bra...I dread going after Baby is born. I now have your recipe site on my blog to check up on constantly. I love having family tried and true recipes from you and Rach!
