Continuing the trip...

So on Tuesday (July 22) we left Aunt LaNita's house and headed for Boise, where we would be spending two nights with our very good friends Ozzy and Belinda and their two daughters. Belinda was my very first friend after we moved into our new house in Caldwell in Nov 2005. Her daughter Hailey was in Kellen's 1st grade class and they would ride the bus to school together in the morning. Belinda was also Madison's first real babysitter, watching her for me while I went to classes two days a week at BSU when Madison was 5-8 mos old.

This picture is just me generally pointing the picture towards the rear of the car while I was driving; it's not great, but that's what you get when you're REALLY watching the road and not the camera :)
The kids had a great time playing at Ozzy and Belinda's house; Madison particularly loved their two schnauzers, Max and Levi. Levi is the silver one on the left, while Max is the white one on the right.
They had bought a pool during the weekend right before we came so the kids spent some time playing in the water again here, too.
This is Kellen trying to fit himself inside the inner tube from the pool during the morning (before we opened the pool again). That is Max to the left of this picture and Hailey off to the right.
Lexi (age 6) and Madison decided to have bowls of cereal for lunch on Wednesday.
We haven't seen these friends in almost exactly a year (the kids and I left Caldwell for Steve in Oregon in the middle of August 2007) and it was really great to be able to visit with them again. I used to walk across the street to take something to them or to ask Belinda something and would stay visiting quite late. When we were there for that two nights, it felt so much like old times. It felt like I was just visiting again and I'd go home in another couple of hours when I just knew I really couldn't stay any longer. I was very sad to leave them behind when we moved and really loved being able to spend time with them again, even if just for a short time...

I liked the car picture! :-) Looks like my kids on any trip, no matter how short... It was fun to see you and see Madison in action. Loved her hair! ;-) Glad you guys had a fun trip. And why not have cereal for lunch? Sounds perfectly fine to me! :-) (Mark does that just about every day, he says it's a balanced meal and full of vitamins. Men...)
