I'm sorry I was such a downer yesterday. I was letting things about Mariah swallow me whole and was having a really hard time climbing out of all of it. Some years pack more of a wallop than others, and this one just laid me flat. Thank you all for your comments.
Today has been much better. Steve had to leave early for work today (out the door at 6:15am) since he had a staff meeting from 10am to 4pm at the main office an hour and half drive from here. He and the other guys from his own office meet early and car pool there.
Shortly after he left Kellen got up so he and I cleaned the bathrooms real quick while Madison was still in bed. After some breakfast I went through Kellen's Bear book looking to see what arrow points we either had earned already or could easily start. A gardening one caught my eye in which the scout makes a greenhouse out of a cardboard box and some plastic wrap and then grows some plants in it from seed. We made the greenhouse, talking about how the greenhouse keeps moisture and heat in, preventing frost from hurting the plants when it's still early in the season. He has one plant that he started from seed just a week or so ago at scouts so we put that in the greenhouse and put it outside. Then we came in and made some lunch, I took a nap for a half hour on the couch, I put Madison down for a nap, and then I had some me-time.
I left Kellen playing a video game and took myself outside to mow the lawn. That was 45 minutes of hard work! Accompanied by my iPod, it was my own version of Sweatin' to the Oldies :) When I came in, I went straight in to shower off varying amounts of sweat, dirt, and grass. Just as I was thinking I might have enough time to get in some blogging before Madison got up from her nap, my bathroom door opened. Madison had left her clothes on the floor out in my room and walked straight into my shower with me. Somehow I don't remember the clause in the Motherhood Agreement that said I wouldn't ever have any privacy again...
Now it's almost 4pm, which means I really need to get to work on a few other things. The clean dishes in the dishwasher, the dirty dishes in the sink, the handwashing, the vacuuming, some laundry and dinner are all waiting for me. Oh, well.
Just a note, my lap top has been freezing up and has given me what Steve calls the "blue screen of death" twice so I have no guarrantees about how often I'll be blogging until we figure out what's going on with that. We have two other computers but one is r*e*a*l*l*y slow and the other is in my room where I can't keep a good eye on Maddi. In the meantime, Steve's parents are coming to visit tomorrow to go with us to Kellen's Pinewood Derby so we are definitely looking forward to our weekend!

You shouldn't have to apologize for feelings. They are what they are.
What a great project for Kellen to work on. Once again, it makes me want a garden all the more, so thanks for supporting me from the other side of the country!
Evie also climbs in with me, tub or shower. It's so much more of a hassle now that she's tall enough and brave enough to get herself over the side of the tub.
For Madison, she doesn't even have to "climb over" because the only things holding the water in are the shower curtain and a lip at the bottom that's a couple of inches high :) So she literally just walks in.
Your feelings are so very justified no apologies necessary that's what blogging is for.
I am glad to hear you are feeling a little better today. Sounds like you accomplished a lot today.
Have a wonderful pinewood derby deal...I'm glad Steve's folks will be there. Take pictures for us!
