Taking up the Challenge, Pic of the Day #1

This balloon has kicked around the house for a couple weeks now (amazing, huh?) and Madison finally managed to pop it this morning. She was so disappointed that it was gone, and completely stumped as to how this phenomenon had occurred...

Madison-isms

Madison requested Mac 'n Cheese for lunch today and, when we sat down to eat, she declared it delicious. But it comes out sounding like "too-licious" instead!

Yesterday, Madison came up to me and said, "Happy Burpy Day, Mommy!" No, it's not my birthday yet, she picked it up from Super Why! but obviously didn't catch it quite right :)

I have been saying, "I love you" to Madison for months waiting for her to say it back to me. She's so verbal, I guess I expected it almost immediately, but that's not what happened. She finally said it to me yesterday, and now she climbs up on my lap and says, "I love you, Mommy", and I am quite certain that they are the sweetest words in the world.

This morning Madison abandoned her movie to come tell me that she was "all red!", which was only partly true. She had been picking a scab between her chin and her lip, which meant it started bleeding, getting 'red' on her fingers.

At lunch today Madison was dipping her saltine crackers in her mug of tomato soup and told us that her soup was "falling off in my bug!"

When we were playing out in the back yard the other day, if I kicked the ball to Madison she would catch it, deliberately sit down on the grass, and then look up to tell me that she had fallen off.

Anytime that Madison is told that she can't do something, she says, "It's not funny!"

Yesterday, I came out of my bathroom and heard Madison say, "I'm dusting. I'm dusting." When she walked back from our bedroom towards the sinks, where I was washing my hands, she was holding my blush and 'dusting' it across her cheeks.

The other day, I got after Madison for getting into some things in our room. She decided that I wasn't being very nice and went out, closing the door and telling me that I needed a "time out"!
