Grandma and Papa's House

Steve's sister was hosting Christmas celebrations at her house again this year, but since Steve was supposed to work both Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas, we wouldn't have time to drive there. In order to be able to spend Christmas with us, Steve's parents invited us to their house the weekend before Christmas, so on Saturday morning we drove to their house and stayed through dinner on Sunday.

Grandma keeps a very pretty house with lots of decorations and they included a collection of marti gras beads, which Madison had fun playing with.

When Grandma and Papa go to McDonald's they always get the kids' meals instead of the meal combos, and the end up building up quite a collection of kids' meals toys that they keep in a drawer in the guest room for whenever the grandkids come to visit. It was as good as Christmas for Madison; she returned to the drawer over and over to bring out something new and have Papa open it for her. Kellen got out a few, but it didn't hold quite the same fascination for him, obviously. One of the things he chose was a small robot-looking dinosaur.

The kids had a great time playing with the toys at Grandma and Papa's house, and we all enjoyed the visit :)

It looks like you had such a fun Christmas! I am glad to know those McD toys are good for something! I should gather all ours up and donate them to a grandparent! :) By the way, I love your random pics of your kids too!! So funny!
