This Saturday is the official start date of the popcorn sales, which really just means that Kellen is finally allowed to start going door-to-door; the online sales are on-going and will continue for the next month or so. That means that you are purchasing the popcorn to be sent to military personel who are serving somewhere. About 70% of what Kellen sells will go into his pack account, available for him to participate in the various cub scouting activities throughout the the year, including camps, the pinewood derby, and pack activities. Everyone knows that the Boy Scouts are a non-profit organization, but it still costs a lot of money to maintain the facilities that our boys use through the year so fundraising is an essential part of that.
