The LONG Tag

I know I am usually up for tag, but this one is an awful lot to take on... Well, here goes!

50 Things I bet you didn't know about me

1. What is in the back of your car? A partial bottle of aeresol sunscreen, one of Madison's jackets, the spare tire; really not much.

2. When was the last time you threw up? Probably when I was pregnant with Madison, in spring and summer of 2005.

3. What color is your toothbrush? Blue, white and yellow

4. What was the last thing you ate? A piece of Valentine chocolate...

5. Have you bought any new clothing items this week? Definitely not.

6. When was the last time you ran? Um, I tried jogging a little several weeks ago, but I gave it up for Lent...

7. The last sporting event you watched? Snippets of the Superbowl game, since we were actually watching the commercials.

8. What did you do over the weekend? Collected recyclables for the cub scouts pop can drive, went to church, was generally lazy.

9. Who is the last person you sent a comment/message to on myspace? Don't use MySpace, but the last person's blog that I commented on was Mom's, I think.

10. Ever go camping? Yes, but I haven't been in a really, really long time

11. Would you rather stay in the country or city? The country with close and easy access to the city. I love the small-town life!

12. Are you in a relationship? Marriage counts, right? (just kidding)

13. Do you have a tan? Not right now, there hasn't been any sun lately and I'm not in the habit of displaying any more skin than I have to anymore...

14. What's your favorite food? Dessert!

15. Do you drink your soda with a straw? If it's not in a can, most definitely, since I prefer it with ice, but I don't want to have to suck on the ice to get the soda.

16. What did your last text message say? Yesterday I told Steve that the plumber was coming (to fix a leak under the kitchen sink) at 3pm.

17. Are you someone's best friend? I don't think so. I know a lot of you would say your spouse, but I think the relationship in most marriages is really more complex than that. I doubt that Steve would say I'm his best friend either because there is so much more involved than that.

18. What are you doing tomorrow? Staying in, probably doing some grudging cleaning.

19. Where is your mom? Um, she stayed home from work today and tried to keep up with the ever-falling snow.

20. When you look to your left, what do you see? The end of couch (with laundry on it), the piano, a bench Steve's dad made for us (right after we got married), and a window.

21. Who would you like to see right now? My hubby, my family, friends I haven't seen in a while (Terri, Briana, and Belinda come immediately to mind)

22. What do you think of when you think of Australia? Kangaroos.

23. Where is one place in the world where you would like to visit? I have to narrow it to ONE? Australia, since Steve was there as an exchange student and keeps telling me that we will have to take a 2-month vacation someday to see everything.

24. What is your birthstone? Peridot. Definitely not what I consider one of the prettier ones, but I've seen it look fairly nice in the right setting.

25. Do you go in at a fast food place or just hit the drive thru? We do both, probably about half and half. It depends on how much of a rush we're in or wether we want to eat at home.

26. What is your favorite number? I don't have one, mostly because I've never thought about it.

27. Do you have a dog? Not yet. We'll wait a few more years.

28. Last person you talked to on the phone? Megan, a new acquaintance down with street with a son just a year younger than Kellen

29. Have you met anyone famous? No.

30. Any plans today? Well, I was supposed to clean the bathrooms, but I played with a photo editing program instead...

31. How many states have you lived in? 7: Illinois (twice), Texas, California (3 times), Idaho (4 times), Washington, Oregon, Pennsylvania

32. Ever go to college? Yes, for about 2 1/2 years, with plans to go back this fall.

33. What do you want to be when you grow up? Do I have to grow up? If I must, then I suppose I am working towards being a high school Spanish teacher.

34. Biggest annoyance in your life right now? Toilet training a toddler!

35. Last song listened to? Enya's "Paint the sky with stars"

36. What did you eat last night? Waffles!

37. What is your fav. food to splurge on? Anything that goes into baked goodies so I can make them at home.

38. Favorite pair of shoes you wear all the time? A pair of Merrell hiking shoes.

39. Do you want to get married? Not to anyone else!

40. Are you jealous of anyone? People who are naturally thin and don't have to work at it.

41.Does anyone not like you? I hope not.

42. Do you love anyone? My husband, my kids, brothers and sisters, parents, grandparents, other family....

43. Do any of your friends have children? Most of them.

44. Do you eat healthy? I try, but I'm frequently a failure. I like to snack too much.

45. Who did you wake up next to this morning? Steve, but it was to Madison climbing in between us to snuggle up with me...

46. Do you hate anyone right now? Definitely not.

47. Do you use the word 'hello' daily? Yes.

48. Are you glad that this is almost over? A bit, since I kind of need to go get the split pea soup out of the pressure cooker and heat the garlic bread...

49. Have you ever been to Six Flags? Yes, to Six Flags Magic Mountain for 8th grade graduation.

50. How did you get one of your scars? Um, I have a scar on my left wrist from a walk-in freezer door when I was working in an assisted living facility.

Well, this one was quite long, so I don't think anyone should feel obligated to do this tag, but it was a rather interesting trip... So if you want to join us on the bizarre ride, we'll be happy to read it :)
