It's Toast

We were up early getting Steve ready to go this morning. I made him a ham omelet that was supposed to have an English muffin on the side. Obviously, that didn't happen. I noticed a week or so ago that the selection light no longer came on when I plugged in the toaster and pushed a button (toast, bagel, frozen, warm) and that the cancel button (pops up the toast) didn't work anymore. I mentioned it to Steve but we hadn't had a chance to try toasting anything since then to see if the toaster was actually broken. As seen in the picture below, it definitely is. It never popped up and we had forgotten it was there. Then we had to open doors and turn on the stove vent to clear out the surprisingly large amount of smoke it put out. Fortunately, toast isn't an every day thing for us and it won't hurt to be without a toaster for a little while :)
